How often do you wonder if your data is secure?
The simple password access to Windows is not enough, in fact one has access to the hard drive to be able to peek at the data, encrypt sensitive data but also the photos or videos, or the usb stick with your work is very important, just think that you lose the thumb drive or PC can fall into the wrong hands or be stolen.
So? TrueCrypt encrypt all with open source software that supports Windows 7/Vista/XP/2000, Linux and Mac.
free and very effective, it can encrypt entire partitions or you can create a virtual partition (a file) where you then enter your contact information to be protected , also supports encrypted partitions hidden .
algorithms supported by TrueCrypt are the ' AES the Serpent and Twofish . You can however use them in sequence (thus having better security), for example, AES-Twofish, AES-Twofish-Serpent, Serpent-AES, AES-Serpent-Twofish-Serpent, and Twofish.
The program can be found here: http://www.truecrypt.org/download s
I downloaded it installed and then create the first volume to be encrypted, the algorithm selected, choose the size.
After that, mount the virtual partition from the main screen and enter your data.
The program is in English but fairly simple to use.
